Rockler Bearing Install and First Part of the A&A Gear

I took a break from cutting out and sanding dome pieces to finally install the A&A Dome Gear set. Partially anyway. Bolt Depot screwed up (pun intended) my order for the motor mounts, so I can't install the actual gear set until this weekend. But, I can lay down the rockler bearing and dome gear ring.

I started by drilling out the partially drilled holes on the Rockler bearing. I taped over the groove to keep metal shaving from the drilling out of the bearings and grease.
Then I drilled in some countersinks.

And installed #10-24 x 1 1/4" screws. These attach the Rockler bearing to the top of the body frame.
And then I laid down the A&A gear which fit perfectly over the Rockler bearing's predrilled holes. These were #8-32 x 1 1/4" screws with nuts and washers. These keep the gear in place, and will eventually secure the dome to the gear/Rockler assembly. I hope.

And here is the whole thing finished and in place.
